while collectively a difficult year, my 2020 sketchbook visual mashups are surprisingly my favorite. the pull towards simple marks and blind contours with my own words mixed with other teachers, these expressions are much more beautiful that I was expecting. these lines could also very well just connect me with the simple gratitudes of plants, dogs, and friends the year 2020 helped me appreciate more. as to say, I’m not expecting everyone to feel similarly, but rather hope they inspire you to think of your simple gratitudes as well.
