Andrea Slusarski (she/her) is a creative thinker, designer, and plein air sketchbook drawer based in Colorado. Fascinated by how learning is impacted by Creativity, her visual and teaching processes are fueled by this curious study. Whether in drawing, designing, or riding, Andrea connects her various types of lines through plein air sketchbook drawings, snowboarding, studio collaborations, and sharing Creativity with all types of students.

A firm believer in the power of little-c creativity (daily creative acts) - Professor Slu provides various workshops and lectures on how to embrace oneโ€™s own creative light to find more connection and fun through creative pursuits.

Andrea is the creative force behind the Drawing from Nature Studio, a design incubator which has collaborated with many outdoor based companies, including clients such as Coalition Snow, Boot Tan Fest, Wild Rye, TREW Gear, and Osprey Packs. Drawing from Nature Studio has also collaborated with various local and national non-profits including The Wright, Climate Power, Western Resources Advocates, and the Sierra Club.

Sheโ€™s been invited to give lectures for Denver Creative Mornings, the Cincinnati Art Museum Teacher Professional Development, and many local organizations including Aurora and JeffCo Public Schools. Her work has been published in SISU Magazine, 5280 Magazine, The Art of Education, and provides multiple online workshops as a featured instructor for the Creative Fuel Collective.

Drawing from Nature Studio works have recently been on display at the Evergreen Center for the Arts (2023 - Juried Show โ€œHike/Bike/Skiโ€), Crested Butte Center for the Arts (2023), RMCAD Faculty Show (2022), Friends of Friends Show (2022 - Invited Artist), MileHigh BigSky Show (2021 - Invited Artist).

Andrea works out of her home studio in Denver, Colorado and is an assistant professor of Art Education at Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design.
